John Meier
John H. Meier, Jr. President is a businessman and independent scholar with an eclectic career history including business management, import export development, medical research, and real estate. His past careers have involved Canadian contract and patent law, clinical testing, feasibility studies, and international trade reports.

Meier has been collecting books for over thirty five years. He is known in Canadian academic circles as the leading expert on the Governor General’s Literary Awards. He has traveled extensively in Canada conducting research at literally all major institutions that hold publishers and authors archives.  Meier has given lectures on the awards across Canada and extensive interviews in print, on television and CBC Radio.

Eric Swanwick
Eric L. Swanick Secretary is currently Head of Special Collections at Simon Fraser University.  He was the New Brunswick legislative librarian for 16 years. Before this senior position, Swanick managed the collection for the legislative library and was the key player in the development of the respected New Brunswick Collection.

Eric has served as the president of the Bibliographical Society of Canada, and has contributed to several academic publications including Acadiensis, the Dictionary of Canadian Biography, and the History of the Book in Canada project. In addition to a BA in History and a master’s degree in library science, Swanick has a MA from the Institute of Bibliography and Textual Criticism from the University of Leeds, England.

Timothy Taylor
Timothy L. Taylor is a recipient of a National Magazine Award, winner of the Journey Prize, and the only writer ever to have three stories published in a single edition of the Journey Prize Anthology. His first novel Stanley Park was published to outstanding reviews. It was short-listed for the prestigious Giller Prize. That novel was followed by Silent Cruise, a collection of short fiction, and Story House a novel. His new novel, The Blue Light Project, will be published in 2011.

Today Taylor continues to publish stories in Canada’s leading literary magazines, as well as writing travel, humour, arts and business pieces for various periodicals and writing for film.
